This page collects every ED medicine price we have been able to verify from a Philippine pharmacy's own listing, in one table, sorted by price per tablet. Each row carries the pharmacy, the date we checked it and a link to the source, so you can see exactly where a number came from. If a price is not in the table, it is because we could not confirm it yet, not because the medicine is unavailable.

How much do ED medicines cost in the Philippines?

A single tablet costs anywhere from about the price of a merienda to the price of a week's groceries. The medicine inside is the same; what you pay for is the brand, the maker and the pharmacy.

The two medicines sold for ED in the Philippines are sildenafil (the active ingredient in Viagra) and tadalafil (the active ingredient in Cialis). Both are PDE5 inhibitors, both are prescription medicines and both are made by several local and foreign companies. The table below covers every verified row for both.

Tap "Per tablet" to flip the sort. Packs (for example Robust Plus, sold as a box of 4) are divided into a per-tablet figure so you can compare like with like. Kohagra 25 mg was out of stock at Southstar when we checked; the price stays in the table as a reference. The NowExpress rows are an online service's price that includes a doctor's review, so they are not a pure pharmacy shelf price. If you pay in dollars, pounds or euros, see prices in your currency.

How much can a generic save you compared with Viagra or Cialis?

A lot. At the same strength, the most expensive verified sildenafil tablet costs about 19 times as much as the cheapest one at 50 mg, and about 23 times as much at 100 mg.

Why the gap is so wide: the patents on sildenafil and tadalafil have expired, so many companies now make the same molecule. Generic makers did not pay for the original research or the decades of global marketing, and Philippine law pushes the market toward generics. The Generics Act of 1988 (RA 6675) requires doctors to write the generic name on every prescription, which means a prescription for "sildenafil" can be filled with any registered sildenafil product at that strength. Your pharmacist can show you the options on the shelf.

A generic is not a weaker copy. Regulators require a generic to contain the same active ingredient at the same strength and to be bioequivalent, meaning it reaches the bloodstream in the same amount and at the same rate as the original. What differs is the tablet's colour and shape, the inactive ingredients, the box and the price. For a brand-by-brand explanation, see ED medicine brands.

Which pharmacies stock ED medicines in the Philippines?

Most big chains do, behind the counter. Watsons, The Generics Pharmacy (TGP), Southstar Drug and Rose Pharmacy all list sildenafil or tadalafil, and MedsGo lists several brands online.

  • Watsons carries the widest range we found: sildenafil (Viagra), Andros, RiteMed, Zilden, Tigerfil and Robust Plus, plus tadalafil (Cialis) and Torfil.
  • TGP lists the lowest prices we verified, for Erecto and Spiagra.
  • Southstar Drug lists Zilden, Kohagra and tadalafil (Cialis).
  • Rose Pharmacy, strong in the Visayas, lists RiteMed sildenafil and tadalafil (Cialis).
  • MedsGo lists Erecto, Spiagra, Erecfil and Sildesaph, but its listings were unclear on pack size when we checked, so none of its prices appear here yet.
  • Mercury Drug is the largest chain in the country. We have not yet verified a Mercury Drug price for any ED medicine, so we do not show one. Ask at your branch.

Stock varies by branch. A Watsons in a Makati mall may carry brands that a provincial branch does not, and the reverse. Calling ahead saves a wasted trip. Whichever pharmacy you use, it will ask for a prescription; see whether Viagra is over the counter for what the rules say. Avoid marketplace sellers and "herbal" products that claim to contain sildenafil: the FDA Philippines has repeatedly warned about unregistered and fake ED products, and our guide to fake ED pills explains how to spot them.

Are there other ways to lower the cost?

Yes, two worth knowing. Filipino senior citizens, and the strength your doctor chooses, both change what you pay.

Under the Expanded Senior Citizens Act (RA 9994), Filipino citizens aged 60 and over who live in the Philippines are entitled to a 20% reduction and VAT exemption on medicines for their own use. Bring your OSCA senior citizen ID and your prescription, and ask the pharmacist. Foreign expats do not qualify under this law.

Strength also matters, because the per-tablet price does not scale neatly with the milligrams. Some 100 mg generics cost less per tablet than some 50 mg ones. That does not mean a higher strength is the better deal for you: the strength and how often you use it are decided by your doctor, based on your health and your other medicines. You can model monthly costs with the cost per dose calculator.

How do we check these prices?

We read each pharmacy's own public listing and record the price, pack size and date. A row is only shown once we can link to the listing it came from; anything unclear stays hidden until a person re-checks it.

Prices change, sometimes weekly, and in-store prices can differ from online listings. Every row shows its checked date, and the table footer shows the most recent check. The full process, including how we handle packs and out-of-stock items, is on how we check prices.

Do you need a prescription first?

Yes. Every medicine on this page is a prescription medicine in the Philippines, and a doctor also checks that it is safe with your heart and your other medicines. A short online or clinic consultation is enough for most men.

Frequently asked questions

How much is Viagra in the Philippines?

Branded sildenafil (Viagra) is the most expensive ED tablet we have verified in the Philippines. The exact per-tablet price for each strength is in the table on this page, with the pharmacy and the date we checked it. Generic sildenafil at the same strength costs a fraction of that.

Which pharmacies stock ED medicines in the Philippines?

Watsons, The Generics Pharmacy (TGP), Southstar Drug and Rose Pharmacy all list sildenafil or tadalafil, and MedsGo lists several brands online. Mercury Drug is the biggest chain, but we have not yet verified a Mercury Drug price for any ED medicine. Every one of these pharmacies needs a prescription.

Why are generics so much cheaper than Viagra or Cialis?

Generic makers do not carry the original research and marketing costs, and the patents on sildenafil and tadalafil have expired, so several companies now make the same active ingredient. A generic must contain the same medicine at the same strength and be shown to be bioequivalent to the original.

How often are these prices checked?

Each row shows the date we last read the pharmacy's own listing. Pharmacies change prices without notice, so treat every figure as a guide and confirm at the counter. Our method is set out on the sources and methodology page.

Can I get these medicines without seeing a doctor?

No. Sildenafil and tadalafil are prescription medicines in the Philippines, and pharmacies are required to ask for a valid prescription. A licensed doctor can issue one after an in-person or online consultation.
