Erectile dysfunction in the Philippines: prices, medicines and how to get treated
Independent guide to erectile dysfunction in the Philippines: what causes it, which medicines exist, what they cost in pesos and how to see a licensed doctor.
Short answer
Erectile dysfunction (ED) affects a large share of men over 40 and many younger men, and it is very treatable. In the Philippines the main medicines, sildenafil (Viagra) and tadalafil (Cialis), need a prescription, and the same medicine can cost up to 19 times as much depending on the brand and pharmacy. Start with the body map below, check your prices, then talk to a licensed doctor.

How much is Viagra in the Philippines?
The originator sildenafil (Viagra) 50 mg tablet was listed at ₱915 at Watsons when we checked. Generic sildenafil at the same strength started at ₱49 (Erecto, TGP).
Every generic sold legally in the Philippines contains the same active ingredient and has to be registered with the FDA Philippines. The difference you pay is mostly brand, not medicine. Our price guide lists every verified price with its pharmacy, source and the date we checked it, and the sildenafil price page breaks it down by strength.
Do you need a prescription for ED medicine here?
Yes. Sildenafil and tadalafil are prescription medicines in the Philippines, and a pharmacist should ask for one. You can get a prescription from a GP, a urologist or a licensed doctor through an online consultation, which is often the most private route.

Is it ED, or just a bad week?
An off night now and then is normal and not a diagnosis. If erections have been a problem more often than not for a few months, our free self-check gives you a sense of where you stand in about two minutes, and it stores nothing.
Free toolFree ED self-checkFive questions, two minutes, nothing saved or sent. Why does a doctor's check matter?
The blood vessels that fill the penis are narrower than the ones that feed the heart, so they often show damage first. In many men, ED shows up years before a heart attack, a stroke or a diabetes diagnosis. A consultation is a chance to check blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol, not just to get a prescription.
For Filipino men the usual suspects are high blood pressure, diabetes, smoking, heavy drinking and years of short sleep, including BPO night shifts. Read what causes erectile dysfunction for the full list.
Mas komportable ka ba sa Tagalog?
Our Tagalog guides are written in everyday Taglish, not translated: pampatigas ng ari, mabilis labasan and hindi tumitigas.

If you are a retiree or long-stay resident, our expat guide answers the first questions in plain English: whether your home prescription works here, what you can bring in, and what treatment costs in dollars, pounds or euros.
Frequently asked questions
Can you get Viagra in the Philippines?
Yes. Sildenafil, the medicine in Viagra, is sold at Philippine pharmacies under the Viagra brand and many cheaper generic brands, but it is a prescription medicine. You need a prescription from a licensed doctor, in person or through an online consultation.
What is the cheapest ED medicine in the Philippines?
Generic sildenafil is the cheapest option we have verified. Prices per tablet vary more than tenfold between the originator brand and the lowest-priced generic at the same strength, so it is worth comparing before you fill a prescription.
Is erectile dysfunction serious?
ED itself is common and treatable, but it can be an early sign of heart disease, high blood pressure or diabetes, sometimes years before other symptoms. That is why a doctor's check is worth it, not just a tablet.
Do you sell medicine?
No. This site is an independent, educational guide. We do not sell medicine or take orders. Prices are what pharmacies listed on the date shown, and every medicine listed needs a prescription.
